!!!! PLEASE READ, NEW ARTICLE !!!!!! UNIFORM INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBER STATUS CHANGES

Recently, we've been getting a lot of request to change member status to IQ or BQ, only to determine that members don't have any entry in the Uniform inspection area in ADII.  It is the FSO/SO - IS responsibility by direction of the FC to make the appropriate entry in ADII to indicate that a uniform inspection has been completed or that member is currently exempt. Even with the recent suspension of wearing uniforms, there was always the ability for uniform inspections to be done "virtual". Or, the FC could have just set the exempt indicator on the member's first joining the Flotilla.  Member should have a uniform inspection on a yearly basis.  Below is information concerning uniform inspections that should be widely disseminated to all members and leadership.  

• Back in 2023 when the Uniform inspection process was implemented in ADII, there were several National communications that went out to all members as well as information passed down the IS chain of its new entry in ADII.
• Not long after there were more communications distributed including the ADII update on the AUXCT competency tab that included the status of the uniform inspection for the member. AUXCT of course can be set to Certified if all seven courses are good to go AND the uniform inspection or exempt indicator is checked.
• BSX actually runs a process every Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) to automatically set AUXCT to Certified if all the courses are in good standing and the uniform entry has been made.

FC are responsible for ensuring that the member's ADII reflects the uniform inspection prior to submitting any request to the DIRAUX for changes to member status. You should be in contact with you IS officer before contacting the DIRAUX.  Again, only if the uniform inspection is completed will the status be automatically updated by the ADII system.  Usually once this box is checked, the system will automatically make this change.  If not, this is the only time the FC should reach out to the DIRAUX and ask for us to make the change.
